The 4Cs are Clarity, Cut, Carat and Color. Any diamond is evaluated on the basis of these factors. The higher the clarity, higher is the price. Carat means the size of the diamond. Colored diamonds are rare and hence very expensive. Watch out for fake diamonds that are made from cubic zirconium.

It is also advisable that you don’t buy diamonds from online dealers as you cannot physically see the stone.
